Client Information

Coromandel International Limited (Coromandel), a Private Limited Company having its Registered Office at Coromandel House, Sardar Patel Road, Secunderabad – 500003, Telangana and has multi-locational Plant sites.

Coromandel is a leading manufacturer of Phosphatic Fertilizers and Crop Protection products. Coromandel is also having Fertiliser plants at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh and Ennore, Tamilnadu and SSP plants at various locations across India. Apart from Fertiliser plants, Coromandel also have Crop Protection plants at various locations across India. Coromandel International Ltd (CIL) has their fertilizer production unit at Visakhapatnam comprising Sulphuric Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Granulation Plants, off-sites & utilities. There are two sulphuric acid plants within factory premises, SAP-1 1400 MTPD and SAP-2 300 MTPD capacity.

Project Information

Coromandel was increasing phosphoric acid production capacity, which required additional sulphuric acid. They planned to build a new 1,650 TPD Sulphuric Acid Plant at Visakhapatnam to meet additional sulphuric acid requirement. Technology for the new sulphuric acid plant was obtained from reputed process licensors & detail engineering was carried out by one of reputed engineering companies.

Work Done by Our Company

We were involved on this project from concept to commissioning. We started off with preparing a project feasibility report. Thereafter we prepared enquiry/bid documents for selection of technology and process licensor. We were involved in preparing bid evaluation of offers submitted by various international process licensors and selection/finalization of process licensor. Thereafter we prepared enquiry/bid documents for selection of Indian engineering company for doing Detail Engineering work. We were involved in preparing bid evaluation of offers submitted by various Indian engineering companies and finalization/selection of detail engineering company. Thereafter we did all equipment sizing & finalization of design basis for installation of the plant. We played roles as following during project execution & commissioning:

  • Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services for new 1,650 TPD Sulphuric Acid Plant PMC Services, acting as Owner’s Engineer to advise Owner for basic & detail engineering, approval of all engineering documents/drawings and advising during project execution.

  • Tail Gas Scrubber Design for new 1,650 TPD Sulphuric Acid Plant Basic engineering for Tail Gas Scrubber, approval of all detail engineering documents/drawings and advising during project execution

  • Sulphur melting system Design for new 1,650 TPD Sulphuric Acid Plant Basic engineering for Sulphur Melting system, approval of all detail engineering documents/drawings and advising during project execution.
